Build it yourself
The whole thing is on GitHub, under the GNU GPL v3. Clone it, install a few libraries, and it builds.
Open the repositoryWith meson
The build needs WebKitGTK 6, GTK 4, libadwaita, json-glib, libsoup 3 and a few more. The HACKING.md file in the repository has the full list, and a container recipe that installs nothing on the host.
$ git clone https://github.com/camroybal/SparkyBin-Browser.git
$ cd SparkyBin-Browser
$ meson setup build
$ ninja -C build
$ build/src/sparkybin-browser With flatpak
There are three manifests, one for each channel. The stable one is
com.sparkybin.Browser.json.
$ flatpak-builder --user --install build \
com.sparkybin.Browser.json Contributing
Patches are welcome. The project follows the GNOME conventions for commit messages, and the CONTRIBUTING.md file says what to put in a bug report and which problems belong to WebKit rather than to the browser.
Reporting a problem
The issue tracker is on GitHub. Problems with how a page renders, with JavaScript or with video playback belong to WebKit Bugzilla instead, and the guide says which is which.
Where it comes from
SparkyBin Browser is built on GNOME Web, last synced with the 51.1 release. The changes made to it are recorded in the NOTICE file, and the original copyright notices are kept.
